Your club, your settings.
Control what communications you receive from Wakehurst, how your photos are used, and whether you participate in face-recognition matching. Your preferences are stored in your member record and respected across everything we do.
What we send, and how to control it
Wakehurst sends match results, season news, and event announcements. None of it is marketing β everything is about your club and your teams. But if you'd prefer less, just tell us.
Results from your team's games, upcoming draw updates, and final-score notifications. Sent after each round.
When new photos of your player (or family) are found in our library, we'll let you know. Opt-out anytime β photos still go into the library, you just won't be notified.
End-of-season events, registration opens, 60th anniversary milestones, and club announcements. Roughly one email a fortnight in-season, less in off-season.
Annual reminders when the new season opens for registration. One email per year, sent in JanuaryβFebruary.

How your photos are used β and how to opt out
We take photos at matches, training days, and events. Some of those photos are published on this website and shared with families. We also use face recognition to help identify players in our historical library.
Photos at Wakehurst
Match-day photos, team photos, and event photos are taken regularly throughout the season. These are used in club communications, on this website, and in our growing photo library that members can access via /myclub.
Our default approach is comms-and-opt-out: photos of club activity are taken and used for club purposes, and you can opt out at any time. Full media policy β
Face recognition
We use face recognition to automatically identify players in photos β connecting your child's face to their career photos across seasons. This is an opt-in feature: we only run face recognition for players whose parents have given explicit consent.
If you've opted in and want to opt out, email us. We'll remove your family from future face-matching and, on request, remove existing matches from your record.
Children & minors
For players under 13, all consent decisions rest with a parent or guardian β children cannot change their own consent settings. From age 13, players can add preferences alongside parental consent. From 15, players manage their own privacy settings entirely.
Turning 18 triggers a transfer of the full member record to the player directly.
Historical photos
We're building a 60-year photo archive for the club's anniversary. Historical photos (pre-2001) are treated as club archive material. Members who appear in historical photos can still opt out of face-matching and can request that matched tags be removed.
Self-serve preferences in your member portal
We're building a member portal β /myclub β where every Wakehurst family can manage everything in one place. No more emails to us. No waiting for confirmation.
