Wakehurst Rugby Club is located on the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney, we are a community club that affiliated with the Warringah “Rats”. We have a very active Junior Club and field teams in competitions from Under 7’s through to the Opens (Under 17/18’s) in the Sydney Junior Rugby Union competitions.

Our Seniors field teams across for 1st Grade, Reserve Grade and Colts (U21) Grade teams in the The NSW Suburban Rugby Competitions.

Over the years we’ve won numerous trophies and premierships and have had players who have gained representative honours, representing Warringah, NSW, international players and the Wallabies.


At the root of every team sport, children just want to have FUN! And that’s where we come in…Wakehurst Blueys is our a safe and fun entry to Rugby. We setup blueys to allow our youngest players to learn co-ordination and ball skills. As a Club we recognise that the future of our game starts here, it’s also free to our littlest ruggers!

Minis teams (U6-U9s) compete in the Combined Warringah/Manly Districts Minis Competition .

The games are held on Saturday mornings between 8am and 1pm.

Juniors teams compete (U10 – U18’s) in the Sydney Juniors Rugby Union Competition, teams rather than players are graded on their capabilities.
Games are held on Friday nights and/or Sunday mornings starting end of April 2024

Our Junior Teams Also play Rugby 7s in the Spring.

Girl’s Rugby 7s is a fun, fast and exciting game to play. You need to want to get fit and enjoy playing sport with other people. It is the ultimate team sport that is fast paced, physical and always challenging. We love it.

Our Girls play 3 6 week Rugby 7’s waves a year in Autumn, Winter and Spring

Seniors compete in Division 4 of the Sydney Suburban Rugby Competition.

Wakehurst has 3 senior sides.

Our Womens team will be new for 2024

Wakehurst Pumas 7’s Rugby team will join the fastest growing sport in the world.

Wakehurst Pumas will compete in the Sydney Women’s Rugby 7s competition, playing from April – August every 3rd Sunday, as well as regular games against clubs competing in the NSW Suburban Rugby Union competition on Saturdays.

Touch 7s is all about kids running around having fun and enjoying a friendly, social game of Touch 7s, the non-contact version of Rugby 7s. 

Boys and girls aged 5 – 16 are welcome, no matter what your skill level, so round up all your brothers and sisters, friends and cousins and swap some “screen time for green time”.

The program will run 4:30pm-6:30pm each Friday for 6 weeks from Friday 9rd February 2024 through to the 15th March 2024, at Wakehurst Rugby Club, with BBQ and canteen and Bar so come and join the fun.

Touch 7s is all about gettings parents and adults enjoying a friendly, social game of Touch 7s.

Teams can All Female, Male or Mixed, no matter what your skill level, so round up all your mates brothers and sisters, friends and cousins and swap and  “Friday Evening wind down time”.

The program will run 6:30pm each Friday for 7 weeks from Friday 3rd February 2024 through to the 17th March 2023, at Wakehurst Rugby Club, with BBQ and canteen and Bar so come and join the fun.
