U14 Fiji Tour – Trivia Night – Saturday 15 June 2024

The ‘Olympic Games’ Trivia Night is just around the corner!

The parents of our U14’s team are still hard at work raising funds for the Fiji Rugby tour, and they’re doing it by organising this year’s highly anticipated Trivia Night!

Due to overwhelming interest, we’ve relocated the venue from the Rugby Club to the Forestville Memorial Hall. This annual 18+ event is not to be missed!

Have you reserved your table yet for the best trivia night on the beaches (in our opinion)?!

About the night

The proceeds we generate from this night don’t just cover travel and lodging expenses for the U14 boys; they also play a crucial role in supporting the Sigatoka Community in Fiji.

We kindly ask for your support in joining us for this cause. Gather your friends, arrange your table, and secure your tickets today!

Behind the scenes

Every year, Wakehurst Rugby Club relies on the families of the touring group to organise and manage a trivia night to aid in fundraising efforts. The parents of the team reach out to businesses to request prize donations.

These contributions are then used in our raffle leading up to the event or in auctions during the night. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the local businesses that have been incredibly generous with their donations.

Please keep your eyes peeled as we will be promoting the Raffle and Auction Items over the coming weeks!

We have some changes in store for this year’s trivia night…

  • We’ll be offering a minibus service to assist with transportation to and from the event (for a small fee).
  • We’re striving to carve out a bit of time for socialising, music, and dancing once the trivia quiz wraps up.
  • We’re hard at work developing and experimenting with recipes for some unique Greek cocktails.

In September, when we bring the U14’s Team to Fiji, they will not only engage in thrilling rugby matches against the locals, but they will also have the opportunity to visit the Sigatoka local Church and High School. Our goal is to immerse the U14’s in the essence of Fijian village life and culture. This isn’t a ‘holiday’; it’s a life-changing experience that we hope the boys will cherish for years to come.
